Most successful women that I know are pure perfectionists. They tend to give 120 per cent of themselves at all times. And they want to do everything the best they can. But life tends to get hard sometimes. And when things get tough, we discover that sometimes out worst enemy is ourselves. We can be so doubtful of ourselves and our work that we give in to the stress and refuse to celebrate our achievements. Nowadays, it’s hard to be successful , and the most successful women are distinguished from the others by a couple of habits that they have and nurture.
Here are a few habits from successful that can help you succeed.
- Being organized
Being organized is the best quality you can have. You cannot accomplish your goals if you don’t have a plan! You need to have a schedule and you need to follow it fiercely. Every woman needs to know how to deal with her time and obligations. Create a daily to-do lists that is broken down into smaller tasks that you can easily accomplish. Prioritize the top three or five things on your lists each day. In this time and age it’s very easy to get overwhelmed, so it’s very important that you have a general plan or vision of what you need to do. - Staying healthy
Our body is our temple. We have to treat it with respect. If you do not fuel your body properly, it will not function properly. Being a successful woman sure takes a toll on the health. You need to pay attention to the signals that your body is sending you and react properly. So, probably the number one thing that we need to address is stress. Stress is inevitable in our daily lives, and can be a cause for a lot of diseases. Between your work, family, relationships, finances, hobbies- you must find a little time for you. Women are always multitasking which increases stress levels. Stress floods your body with hormones, weakens your immune system, affects brain function and worsens many chronic medical conditions. Stress that lasts longer can produce or contribute to high blood pressure, digestive problems, fatigue, heart problems, back and neck pain, obesity, breathing disorders, headaches, insomnia, anger, depression, lowered sexual desire, and many more. To manage stress, you need to find your own way of dealing with it and find some stress relievers such as yoga, dancing, jogging, puzzles, etc.
Healthy eating is my number one when it comes to healthy living. We are all aware that eating right can help us maintain a healthy weight and avoid health problems, but your diet can also have a profound effect on your mood and sense of well being. You are what you eat. Literally!
The most common motivator for fitness is losing weight. But there are a lot of benefits other than just fitting into a smaller size.

- It reduces the risk of some diseases
Staying active and exercising regularly can boost your mind function and energy which decreases the chances of dementia. Also, fitness is very important for bone health. Strengthening exercises like weight-lifting, jogging, hiking, stair climbing, step aerobics, dancing and racquet sports are best for maintaining a healthy bone mass!

Exercise helps your intestinal muscles break down food and move it correctly. While exercising, you are straightening the abdominal muscles and minimizing sluggishness. By exercising, you can even prevent constipation and keep things regular.

We are all familiar that exercising can improve our mood. But it does much more than that. It relaxes you and reduces the very unpleasant states, like depression and anxiety. When you exercise, neurotransmitters and endorphins that ease depression are released. Plus, you raise your body temperature, which has been shown to calm nerves. All in all, if you’re feeling down, exercising can help you a lot.
- Enhances work productivity and mental performance
It improves your overall self-confidence, which also applies to your work. This helps you to perform better at work and take on leadership roles. Exercising also improves your concentration, productivity and focus.

You just need to find something suitable and interesting for you.
- Have confidence
Believing in yourself is a very important part of being a successful woman. You need to realize that every person makes mistakes and that it’s okay to make them. Be aware of the qualities that you posses. Be confident and speak out! Don’t be afraid to say what you need and to be clear about the things that matter to you. Even if you’re not feeling confident, remember that confidence is a skill. You can achieve it with practicing and a lot of believing in the things that you do. Surround yourself with experts, coaches and successful people. Make no excuses! You can do it!
Remember that learning doesn’t end with college. Times are changing; new trends come every day. You need to evolve constantly. Learn new things, motivate yourself, challenge yourself. There are a lot of courses that you can attend online. Some for free!
- Monitor your emotions
Sometimes we can be a little bit too emotional. As women we often have more emotional reactions to things. We must remember that our working space is not our bedroom where we can freely yell all the things that bother us. It’s important to know how to manage your emotions, even if you’re getting too overwhelmed. In cases of stressful situations, it’s very important to try and stay calm so you can do your job properly. Remember that it’s not about how many problems you have, but about how you choose to deal with them.
- Don’t give up on yourself
Sometimes before we rise to the top, we need to fall to the bottom. That way we can appreciate the view from up there. A lot of people give up on their dreams because they failed the first time. That is not a characteristic of a successful woman. The path to success is paved with mistakes and failures. You need to accept those as beautiful lessons, pick yourself up and do it all over again! Remember, behind every successful woman… well, there is herself!
